Scribble Semester ("the Service") is operated by Jack Ledoux ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a school or organization, you confirm you have authority to do so; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age to enter this agreement.

The service

Scribble Semester lets you upload course syllabi and automatically turns dates it finds into a week and month plan. Parsing is automated and may miss or misread items — you are responsible for checking your plan against your official course materials. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance.

Your account

Keep your login credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

You must not use the Service unlawfully, for fraud or spam, to infringe anyone's intellectual property, or to interfere with its security (including malware, probing, scraping, reverse engineering, reselling access, or circumventing technical limits). You must have the rights to any syllabus or file you upload. We may remove content or restrict accounts where required.

Your content

You keep ownership of the files and plans you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host and process them solely to provide the Service to you.

Our intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Service, including its software, design, doodles, and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under your plan.

Payment and subscriptions

Scribble Semester is $10 per month. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are handled by our reseller — see Paddle's Buyer Terms and our refund policy.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the Service at any time. After termination you may request an export of your data for a reasonable period, after which it may be deleted.

Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits, data, or goodwill (such as a missed deadline). Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from the content you upload, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these terms.

Other terms

You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, and disputes will be heard by the courts located there.
